Feature film co-producers
Ffab offers consultancy for feature film projects hoping to come to the UK, Austria, or other countries in Europe. We can help you identify what needs to be done to access soft or hard money in different regions, and what advantages each region has in terms of skills resource or tax breaks for feature film production.
For feature films soon to be green lit, we can be your co-production partner in Wales, the UK or Austria, helping to identify talent, locations and production resources. We offer a simple crewing service for low budget production including camera operators, sound recordists and post production services.
Ffab has a slate of movies at various stages of development. Naturally we are always looking for appropriate co-producers, production partners, and investors. In the UK in particular, film qualifies under the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and is a very tax efficient way of investing in projects. Film is a very sexy industry to be in and other advantages can be having a movie credit and meeting the stars and associated promotional benefits for you and your business.
Below are some of the feature film productions we are currently involved with either as co-producers or production partners. For interested parties in terms of investment or co-production possibilities, why not contact our head of research, Jody Manning.
The Laureate
A substantial cinematic feature about the life of the influential writer and poet Robert Graves. Ffab is working with award winning New York director William Nunez, and the project has commitment from several financing partners partners. This period piece will have an A-list cast and production is stated for early 2012.
Grimm’s Snow White
FFAB are delighted to have beaten the competition in Germany to bring the production to Austria in September and October 2011.
This version of the classic fairy tale has been filmed in the beautiful Schloss Rosenburg and the forests around Vienna. The DOP says the film has one of the “highest production values that The Asylum has ever made”.
The film is due for release early 2012.
Journey of a Story
A delightful period piece set in New Zealand and Austria in 1941. Serviceman William Brown returns home after a traumatic tour of duty in Europe to find a very different world to the one he left.
Production is complete and the film is due for release in 2011.
FLINK
Every day, Peter watches people kill themselves.
The darkest story ever told; this 21st century Blue Velvet is a deliberate mix of sex and violence. The writing is ‘gripping’ and the film will be seen as a landmark for many years.
FFAB are looking for appropriate partners in this project.
