A Cure for Religion

In the 21st century the majority of people on Earth think that there was a man called God who moulded the universe out of nothing in seven days, and that’s how we all came to be here now.

Many people take this fable of creation as a metaphor.  Nevertheless they still believe there was a man called God who got a woman pregnant without having sex with her so that she could have a son with magical powers who would bring a message of peace and love to the people of the Earth.  To prove it all he would allow himself to be murdered so that he could come back to life.

I think these beliefs are odd ...  A Cure for Religion

The making of a painting

We are documenting the production of a painting by the UK’s leading landscape artist.  Stephen Taylor was recently featured in Alain De Botton’s book “The Pleasures and Sorrows of Work” and is recording material about his methods for the BBC.

His meticulous work involves months of preparation and years of work to produce a single painting.  Stephen is particularly interested in the science behind what we see and the way the human brain interprets light.

You can follow the progress of the painting on his website - www.stephentaylorpaintings.com
